Cabo San Lucas Attractions

Tours and ATV rentals in Cabo San Lucas have become a very popular way to spend a few hours or the day. Sightseeing in an ATV takes on a whole new perspective. ATV tour operators are available throughout Los Cabos and the East Cape offering guided trips through the desert, arroyos, mountains, sand dunes, and beaches. Tranverse arroyos, mountains, and narrow canyons. Visitors can glide through the desert in an ATV with total comfort and security with an escorted tour. Tour guides will take you out on the white sand dunes with a Cabo ATV. Half day and whole day tours are available.
Cabo San Lucas Beaches
The definitive attraction of Cabo is the coast and the azure blue and turquoise waters of the Sea of Cortez. Medano Beach (Playa el Médano), the main safe swimming beach in Cabo San Lucas, encompasses several miles of white sandy beaches. Whether you choose an activity such as jet skiing, swimming, kayaking, waterskiing, banana boating, parasailing, or playing volleyball - you're sure to have a good time here.
Further out of town, there are several remote beaches along the shoreline between "the two Cabos" (Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo). Among them are: Barco Varado, Chileno, Palmilla, Santa Maria, and Vista del Arco Beaches. Rent a car and enjoy these secluded Cabo beaches!

A full day trip, with tackle and guides, will cost about $300 per boat. Smaller boats will cost $80-100 for a half day. Several major international tournaments are held each Fall.

There's no better way to enjoy the scenery in this area than on a local boat cruise. Local cruises take you on tours around the many islets surrounding Baja California Sur.

Between January and March every year, Gray Whales arrive from the icy Arctic waters. To see these magnificent whales up close, visit the area during the winter and early spring. The three main lagoons these whales return to every year are (from north to south) Laguna Ojo de Liebre about half way down the Peninsula, Laguna San Ignacio about 100 miles further south, and Bahia Magdalena, which stretches about 100 miles from the northern end to the southern end below Laguna San Ignacio. All three areas offer an excellent venue for whale watching.

Raven Golf Club at Cabo San Lucas - Dye Corporation designed golf course - Formerly Cabo San Lucas Country Club. Only a few minutes east of Cabo San Lucas, the Raven Golf Club offers a challenging 18-hole course. It has 745 acres and yards: 7220 - Par: 72

Mayan Palace Golf Los Cabos - Formerly the San Jose Municipal Golf Course - Fonatur. Now under new ownership. Nine hole 3,141 yards course designed for intermediate and beginning golfers. Great for the entire family to play in a pleasant atmosphere.
Cabo San Lucas Shopping
Awaiting Cabo shoppers is a wonderful selection of hand crafted goods, ceramics, and silver jewelry. Puerto Paraiso is a recently built mall located at the east end of the marina. Puerto Paraiso is a large mall that offers theaters, restaurants, bowling alleys, and more. It is conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Cabo. Some shops will also deliver large and fragile items to guests' hotel rooms. The shopping complex has stores such as Kenneth Cole, Harley Davidson, and an American Express office.
