Sol a Sol International Regatta (late April):
This sailboat regatta is launched from St. Petersburg, Florida and arrives in Isla Mujeres.

Cancun Jazz Festival (May 10-13):
An annual event since 1991, this festival has featured such top musicians as Wynton Marsalis and Gato Barbieri.

ITU Triathlon World Cup (Oct. 27-Nov. 4): Triathlon world championships (750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run). Over $50,000 in prizes, these races are sanctioned by official ITU regulations. For more information, please see http://www.maadsports.com. The Aquathlon World Championships (2.5 km. run, 1 km swim, 2.5 km run) occur in Cancun each year as well.

Festival de "Música por la Tierra" (Nov 4-7):
The Festival of "Music of the Land" features top performing groups coming together in a multi-day concert to support environmental protection (Playa Ballenas).

Fiesta of Isla Mujeres (Nov 29-Dec 8):
This fiesta honors the island's patron saint. Members of various guilds stage processions, dances, and bullfights.

Cancun Marathon (mid-Dec.):
