Nassau Beaches

Nassau, Bahamas Beaches Below you will find a brief review of some of the best beaches in the Bahamas. There are a variety of other attractive beaches in Nassau, and of course all of them have something to offer. Enjoy the sense of freedom and relaxation that these astonishing beaches will certainly offer you.

Love Beach - This is a quiet and secluded beach, but a great option if you want to go snorkeling. Book an excursion with a local dive operator and enjoy the coral and marine life.

Stocking Island Beach - White sugar sands and very few visitors make this a great beach. It's in the Exumas Land and Sea Park.

Sandy Cay - This is a secluded beach known for its variety of seashells.

Guana Beach - Considered by some guidebooks to be one of the Bahamas' top beaches. Its white sand and lovely palm trees make it the perfect tropical getaway.

Gold Rock Beach - A white sand beach that extends for over five miles.

Taino Beach - Close to Freeport, this beach is ideal for families and water sports.

Pink Sands Beach - Acknowledged as one of the Caribbean's best beaches by Caribbean Travel and Life magazine.

North Shore Beach - Five miles of pink sand beach and few visitors make this beach ideal for those who just want to relax by the sea.

Fine Beach - Twelve miles of beach, pink sand, as well as peace and quiet.

Nassau Deep-sea Fishing

The Bahamas is well known as one of the great sport fishing destinations of the world. Less than a quarter mile off Nassau and Paradise Island the water becomes deep. On the north and west sides Nassau you are in 1,000 feet of water and 4 miles off you are fishing in 6,000 feet of water. Fisherman can catch Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mackerel, Sailfish, Yellowfin & Blackfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, and Wahoo as well as other fish.

Nassau Boating and Sailing

Nassau/Paradise Island offers gorgeous waters and spectacular vistas. The marinas and hotels offer a wide range of charters and rentals.

Nassau Diving

The Bahamas Historical Society Museum

The Bahamas Historical Society Museum has displays depicting Bahamas history from pre-Columbus to the present.

Hours of Operation: Mon 10 am-1 pm, Tue-Fri 10 am to 4 pm, and Sat 10 am to 12 noon.

Pirates of Nassau

The interactive Pirate Attraction is located in the heart of downtown Nassau. Experience the true story of pirates in a historically accurate, interactive environment, which will entertain, excite and educate visitors of all ages. Open Mon-Sat, 9 am - 5 pm.

Nassau Museums

From archaeological to historical museums, Nassau has it all. In Nassau there is the Bahamian Museum (1973), featuring ethnology and folklore; the Bahamas Historical Society Museum (1959), a public affairs museum with a Marine Salvage collection; the Nassau Public Library and Museum; the Pompey Museum of Slavery and Emancipation (1992), a historical, ethnological, folklore museum; and Angelo Roker's Art Centre and Museum.

Nassau Water Sports

It's no surprise that Nassau offers a variety of diving, snorkeling, fishing and sailing opportunities. Throw on a swimsuit. Grab a towel. Explore the emerald green, turquoise, and crystal-blue waters one sport at a time. Water-skiing in the Bahamas is a favorite activity.
