Nassau

Welcome to Nassau, home of the Bahamian national capital, located on the island of New Providence. Prized for its sheltered harbor, the city has conserved it beautifully with its Victorian mansions, cathedrals, 18th-century fortresses, and the Queen's Staircase whose 66 steps lead to a view not to be missed. Nassau has been designed almost exclusively to accommodate travelers: sophisticated resorts and hotels, restaurants for all occasions and tastes, a vibrant entertainment center, world-class watersports, a huge aquarium, and sparkling casinos. Perhaps that's why it has become one of the most glamorous and celebrated resort centers in the world, blending tropical ease and lots of action.
For a larger perspective of Nassau, venture east, cross the bridge from the town of Nassau to Paradise Island, and enjoy an exciting nightlife on an island formerly called Hog. Then you can go across the Cay to Coral Island, with its hundred foot tower and commanding view, or descend into its underwater observatory for close encounters with stingrays and other creatures. Make the most of your adventure, sending details of it from the world's only underwater mailbox.
In Nassau you can create your dream vacation. Its beautiful shores are just the place where you can celebrate freedom everyday, so come to Nassau and feel free to do absolutely everything or absolutely nothing. For those seeking a tropical vacation close to home, the Bahamas will not disappoint. It can be easily reached by cruise ships and direct flights from the United States. Nassau is a quick plane ride from Miami.
